NOTICE
OF SAFEGUARDING POLICY
The Policy is

E.C.B.A. County
Members are required to operate a Policy for the Protection of Children and
Vulnerable Adults and to appoint a County Safeguarding Officer. It is a basic
requirement that the parent or guardian of a child under the age of 18 and/or
the carer of a vulnerable adult participating in the activities of the
Association, shall arrange for that person to be transported to/from the venue.
Their County
Association shall obtain the consent of the parent or guardian of the under
18-year-old for them to attend that event. The Eastern
Counties Bowling Association shall provide a person, holding a current
Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Certificate, at any event that is
solely organised and run by them who should have
attended a recognised Safeguarding course.
Team Managers
and Coaches involved with League teams containing Under 18-year olds are required have a current Disclosure & Baring Service (DBS)
Certificate and to have attended a recognised safeguarding course.
